Documentation: Building With Tiny Woods
In this documentation, the educator notices something interesting: when the children in our 3–5 program build with small wooden loose parts, the structures they create don't begin with a classification.
The structures gain a specific identity when the children discuss what they're building, or when the buildings become larger. What would happen if the educator invited the children to discuss different types of structures before they began to build?
